My interview with VoyageDallas
Today we’d like to introduce you to Dion Wesley.
Dion, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started shooting three years ago thanks to my mentor Brain out in Utah. He helped me pick my 1st camera out as well As guided me in the right direction of learning the equipment. After taking my 1st couple images, I instantly fell in love with photography from nature to portraits to fun, memorable photos and moments.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Some of my struggles were trying to get bookings as well as balance work with my future career, but it seemed as if it was the impossible until I stayed up late nights making my portfolio look better and better and waking up really early to shoot before work, etc. it’s been more fun and helpful than I’ve made myself work harder to achieve my real dream.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Visionary Shots – what should we know?
Visionary shots is a one-man operated company I do things from learning to blog, create stickers, small merch items as well as take awesome portraits, lingerie, brand items and always some nature. And the thing that makes me the most proud is that I’ve done all these alone building/learning websites, learning to blog, etc. and that’s what makes me feel unique my style. Color pop, and how swiftly I get my clients the final product back.

My great friend Brian who’s helping me improve my marketing skills as well as give me feedback. And also my friend Paul my collaborative best friend who continues to help me improve my color toning angles as well as give his opinions on things I’ve wanted to post
